The term ‘vegan’ encompasses a lifestyle that does not use any animal products including diet, clothes, health & beauty products, and any other lifestyle purchases. Plant-based is similar to vegan in that it does not include any animal products but differs in specifics of a diet that does not include processed foods, oil, white flour, and refined sugar. This way of eating is based around unprocessed or minimally processed veggies, fruit, whole grains, beans, legumes, nuts, and seeds.
